Character Name: Alice Yotsuba
Character Canon: Doki Doki! Pretty Cure

History:
Here!

As the wiki hasn't updated her history yet, Alice actually met Mana and Rikka outside of school when Mana found her playing in her garden all alone. Because she was born with poor health, Alice's father didn't let her go outside. Alice became fast friends with Mana and Rikka, sneaking outside to go play with them often. Her father tried to move her to another country for the sake of her health, but Alice refused. Her father's mind was change once he learned about how precious Alice's friendship to the girls are along with her health improving. Alice attended public school with her friends, even if she has beaten up bullies for making Mana upset after the other girl defended Alice from them. After elementary school, Alice attended to a private academy along with working her family business. She still keeps in touch with her two friends and even assist them as Pretty Cures before becoming one herself.

There is a more detailed description on Alice becoming a Pretty Cure on Mana's wiki page, which is found here.

AU History:
Even since Union's early days, the Yotsuba family has been a successful influence to the city in terms of businesses starting, flourishing, and improving. The family's main goals is to continue to make life in Union less stressful and more enjoyable for humans and Pokémon alike. For the generations, family members have been a large diversity of jobs and while their influence among Union isn't as strong compared to years ago, it's still around that hearing their name around is common. Yotsuba Enterprises primarily help run Union's marketplace and keep the flow of business moving.

Alice is the only child to the current head of the family, Seiji Yotsuba and a famous opera singer. Born with poor health, Alice was kept under strict eye and always told to never go far from home, especially never go outside of Union at all costs. Her grandfather was a well known member of the Sword of the Savior and now a member of the Council, a Fighting Enlightened that taught Alice various types of combat at an young age. In her early childhood, Alice was a lonely child who played by herself. One day, two girls found her playing alone and asked her to come play with them. She was hesitant at first, but she agreed and followed them away from her home. These two girls introduced themselves as Mana Aida and Rikka Hishikawa, who quickly became friends with Alice after their first day of playing together. The trio played around the city and even took chances to sneak outside, days where Alice feels truly happy and her health actually improved compared to staying at home all day. All of this playing eventually lead Alice to get a fever, which her father demanded that she stays home permanently. Mana and Rikka managed to convince him otherwise to let Alice continue to play with them after they sneaked inside the Yotsuba household to plead their case. After seeing Alice's improvement in her health and her maturity, he lets his daughter continue to go outside and have more freedom. Mana's words encouraged Alice to give her the dream that she still holds today; to fill the world with smiles through her family's business. Her father even gave her a Pokémon as a gift, which is a precious Cleffa named Hoshi.

Years later, Alice discovered that her friends are Enlightened after she caught Mana transforming to fight off a group of dark Pokémon attacking innocent bystanders. Alice learned that she, as well, possess certain powers similar to her friends yet she feared her anger will get the best of her during battle. When Mana and Rikka were in trouble in another Pokémon fight, her dear Cleffa "talked" to her to think about joining the fight to protect everything dear to her. Remembering her grandfather's words, Alice determined herself to use her powers to protect her friends and transformed herself, creating strong shields to block attacks. Everything went back to normal once the dark Pokémon were defeated.

Today, Alice continues to help run the family business and take lessons from private tutors. As Cure Rosetta, she will use her powers to protect her friends and Union from anything with cruel intentions.

Canon Personality:
If there was a perfect example of a proper lady, then Alice would be that candidate. She is a polite young lady who keeps a strong sophisticated air surrounding her, never going off track to ruin that trait of hers. Wearing the nicest clothes, walking in a gentle walk with a calm yet sweet smile, she is certainly just the perfect lady. Of course, it's always a different story when someone gets to know her.

Alice is very humble with fancy surroundings and spoiled life, wiser than one meets the eye. Very wise and mature for her age, able to truly understand people's feelings at first glance, even better than someone understanding their own feelings. When talking to Lance about Rikka's feelings towards Mana when the later is spending more time with Makoto, Alice explained that girls are complicated beings and often never get their full emotions explained correctly to others. She can relate to Rikka's jealous feelings yet never get her own emotions activity involved. With that said, Alice always puts her friends and their happiness way before her own. Even before becoming a Pretty Cure, she continued to help her friends with her strong resources and still continues to take on the Producer role of the team. Her friends are very important to her and she will do anything to keep them safe and happy as both a regular human being and as a Pretty Cure. It was her friends who gave her the dream to bring smiles all around the world through her actions, especially Mana's influence of helping others and bringing them happiness.

Alice was very much hesitant when becoming a Pretty Cure for the sake that her inner strength would get the best of her. As her grandfather taught her various fighting styles as a child in order to protect herself and the people she loves, an incident where she seriously hurt kids twice her age and size for bullying her friends. Even if it was to protect her dear friends, she regretted her actions later on because someone actually got hurt because of her. Her friends also become concern about this as witnessing Alice's anger is very frightening and get worried when someone insults them with Alice nearby. While Alice has grown and learned to control her inner rage, concerns still rise that she might crack some point.

Even with that inner rage underneath that polite and calm exterior, no matter how crazy the situation is, Alice does try keep it neutral. With the canon example of a giant crab running around, she actually got excited and asked her butler if she can have it as a pet (who said no for a very good reason). She's a little strange with staying calm during exaggerated situations, but it's just another charm to her quirks.

Her parents were never around much in her life due to their occupations, but Alice still keeps a close relationship between her mother and father. Alice may be mature and is capable of taking care of herself, she does rely on Sebastian, her butler, a lot and it does hinder her when she has nobody to fall back on if he is gone. Sebastian's role in her life is just like another parent who supports her and her friends during the good times and the bad times.

While Alice is a proper lady that gives kindness to the world and wishes to give everyone something to smile about, she is definitely not a girl anyone wants to step over or her friends.

AU Deviation:
Personality wise, Alice should be very similar to her canon counterpart in Brave New World. Both versions did fear on becoming Pretty Cure due to their anger might control them and she will later regret her actions, which let to another party to convince them to use her powers with the example of her fairy mascot partner Lance in canon and her Cleffa in Brave New World. Her friends are still one of her primary influences and given that she lives both a comfortable yet luxurious life in canon with a successful family, it would still reflect the same in Union with just minor adjustments such as being an international business conglomerate in canon downgraded to a successful family business line in Union only.

As there is no existence of the Selfish in Brave New World, it's more of the Pretty Cure's goals to protect the world from darkness in general in terms of Pokémon and humans alike hurting the world for their own desires. Alice learned with her friends on what the Pretty Cure were like ages ago so they do agree to use their powers for the good of humanity's recovery and the protection of Pokémon. While there is various setting differences between canon and Brave New World, becoming a Pretty Cure to protect the world still keeps it's general concept to Alice and her friends.

Canon Abilities:
With the Love Link, Alice is able to transform herself into a Pretty Cure, a legendary warrior that fights the darkness for a brighter world. As Cure Rosetta, her physical strength and speed is much stronger and she is capable of doing various attacks. Most of her skills are defensive based.

Rosetta Wall: An ability where small clover shields form in the palm of her hands. Able to deflect and reflect attack back.
Rosetta Reflection: A larger shield that requires the Love Heart Arrow to summon. The shield can be broken for attack-like fans.
Rosetta Balloon: Using the Magical Lovely Pad, she can summon a balloon that is filled with a random surprise! Canon examples include ribbons of light to blind an enemy and summoning a giant version of her mascot partner, Lance, into battle.

As a human, Alice is skilled in four types of fighting styles, taught by her grandfather and often reflected in combat as a Pretty Cure, so she does possess some physical strength in her. She is also skilled in various hobbies in the arts and cooking.

Enlightened Abilities:
Typing: Fairy/Psychic
Ability: Child of the Verdant Forest

Related to her canon abilities, Alice's Enlightened abilities are focused with creating barriers to increase defenses and stop attacks. She is able to focus light around her body to transform herself into a fairy-like heroine with a different appearance yet stronger abilities, known in this age as a Pretty Cure. She is able to cast small shields in her normal self, but the strength is not strong compared to her Cure form. Her physical strength is also more powerful while in this form.

In Brave New World, there are no items or mascot partners to assist Alice's transformation into Cure Rosetta and her attacks. It's focused all on energy to transform in between forms and unleash her abilities.

Starting Out: The ability to transform into Cure Rosetta along with creating small green shields in her hands that block/return attacks (Rosetta Wall).
1st Evolution: Shield strength improves and able to create a much larger shield (Rosetta Reflection). This shield can be also cut in half to work like fans.
2nd Evolution: Shield strength improves again along with being able to summon a balloon filled with Fairy type magic. When popped, it will unleash a strong attack (Rosetta Balloon).

Her Fairy typing is chosen for the Pretty Cure's main affinity to light and her Psychic typing has been chosen for being a common type in defensive attacks such as Light Screen, Barrier and Reflect. These defensive attacks in Pokémon are just as similar as Rosetta's own defense magic.

Child of the Verdant Forest has been selected as her ability for the fact that Alice can tend to understand feelings deep down inside of people.

Starter Pokémon:
Hoshi the Cleffa

Notes/Special Considerations:
Just wrote up a basic history on squeezing Pretty Cure into the setting.

Pretty Cure:

The Pretty Cure are Enlightened heroines that fight for humanity and Pokémon alike for a brighter world in times of darkness. There is some speculation that the Savior herself was the first Pretty Cure yet it continues to be argued by scholars. In those five hundred years of humanity rising from the ashes after the Savior's sacrifice, young girls and women with hearts fill of light discover their Enlightened abilities to be able to transform into a new form of magical power. While they can certainly use their abilities outside this form, they are certainly much stronger and more attuned to their typing and abilities in this form.

Those with this unique form change became known as legendary Enlightened warriors; the Pretty Cure.

Pretty Cures come and go throughout history, each usually having different lifestyles and occupations, the Swords of the Savior being the most common job for them due to the connection to the Savior. It's unknown if Pretty Cures exist outside of Union, but the possibility is there. It's common that Pretty Cures kept their true identities a secret yet exceptions do exist.

Third-Person:
What do you feel your role in Union is?

My role? Representing the Yotsuba family in a good name is pretty important as we do work hard throughout the years for the city and as the heiress to the next head, I must do my best to keep my family strong. I also believe that making others happy is a good explanation of what my "role" in Union.

What would you say the most important occupation is within Union?

I believe all occupations are the most important for the state of our city. Merchants running the trade, Rangers exploring the outside world for our knowledge, Guards protecting the city... Everyone is doing their best for the world, so they are all very important. I must do my best as well for this city.

In your eyes, what is absolutely unforgivable?

... Anyone who dares to hurt my friends will never be forgiven. They are very important to me and I couldn't forgive anyone who dares to hurt them or make them sad.

The gods of old have returned. How would you be judged if you were chosen as a representative of humanity?

Mm... A good question. I hope they do see me well, but I'm positive they will be impressed or happy with my decisions and actions. There have been some tough decisions, but I hope they are pleased with how my life has been going.

When encountering a rare and powerful Pokémon, what is most important? Researching it, bonding with it, or defeating it? Why?

Bonding it. It must be very unique, so I believe befriending it in order to learn about it is very important. Even if it's rare and powerful, it does have the right be happy so I wish to help give it happiness if possible.

What do you think your Pokémon respect most about you?

Hoshi told me that he really appreciates my kindness, but still able to have fun. As along as I become friends with my Pokémon and they are happy, then I will be happy as well.
